Let’s Make Some Middle Bass History!

It is a new season on Middle Bass. The ferries are running. Summer is around the corner!
The Middle Bass Island Historical Museum (MBIHM) auction committee is excited to announce that our big fundraiser will be Saturday July 24th, 2021!
The MBIHM mission statement for our future museum is to “acquire, document, protect, preserve, and exhibit MBI’s unique artifacts and cultural history which will share the story of Middle Bass island for residents, visitors, and future generations.
Our goal is to raise funds to move the historic “My Aunt Irma’s Home” to the Middle Bass Town Hall property. Funds will also be used to create a foundation and hook-up. The museum will fall under the auspices of the MBI Town Hall as a non-profit organization.
The live auction will take place in spacious tents outside the Town Hall. The silent auction will take place in the Town Hall. Lots of space and social distancing! Refreshments will be served.
We are seeking “Island Treasures” made by MBI residents (Bill Yarnell, Lynn Gill, Kim Miles, Mike Nelson, and others…we need you!). We are also looking for auction items that will help the cause (wine for the baskets, Middle Bass memorabilia, antiques…we are open to any exciting ideas you may have.
We have a great auction team in place but we need you! We are seeking additional volunteers and donations to make this important event a reality.
