Ship from Toledo to Put-in-Bay
J&M Cruise Lines recently announced it will operate a passenger ferry between Toledo and Put-in-Bay. The vessel, known as the Glass City Pearl, will run from behind the One SeaGate building on the Maumee River in downtown Toledo. Service is hopefully scheduled to begin in June.
J&M Cruise Lines owns and operates Sandpiper Boat and Water Street Taxi & Tours in Toledo.
Cruises aboard the new Glass City Pearl will be a mixture of public and private. Tickets for public cruises will be available online through their website for destinations like Put-in-Bay. Private chartered cruises will also be available for weddings, birthday parties, private corporate groups, church groups, conventions, fishing charters, birding groups, etc.
The Glass City Pearl is 65 ft. long and 20 ft. wide, with glass windows on all sides. The capacity is 105 passengers. The boat can travel 18-20 mph. The vessel must first pass Coast Inspection before going into service. A media day will be held in the future once the Glass City Pearl has passed Coast Guard inspection.
There is no word on where the Glass City Pearl will dock at Put-in-Bay.
